Everyone knows that “Man’s best friend” refers to dogs. I am not saying it’s wrong, I’m just saying that maybe it can be corelated to all animals that man can live with.
I agree with the fact that dogs are highly inteligent beings and they bond so much to their master. But each little soul can bond with you: cats, hamsters, birds, you name it. Animals have been around man for billions of years, ever since he domesticated them, and turned them into pets.
After they get used to you, they get attached spiritualy, and so they start feeling everything you feel. They know when you’re in pain or when you are sad. They also know when you are happy, and they express happiness by making tricks and having fun around you, almost yelling at you: “play with me, please!”.
They also have the so called 6th sense. For example, they can predict when bad things are about to happen: earthquakes, giant storms, and other natural calamities. Sailors always keep rats as pets onboard ships, because they can tell them if a storm is comming, so they will avoid it.
All pets become faithful to their master and they also perform rituals when bad things happens to them. When a dog’s master is sick, the dog will sit by it’s side no matter what. It has been proven that animals do have feelings, and they react to sentimental factors.
If you need a friend who understands you no matter what, and is always there to put a smile on your face, go with you through good and bad, get a pet. You will feel that a part of you will always understand it.
